Core responsibilities
With reference to the Head of Sales for Water, Mining and Paper, your main responsibilities will be as follows:

Manage a defined customer portfolio within Water Treatment – specifically municipal water treatment with a special focus on the Finnish market and Northern Sweden. Additional customers in the wider Chemical Industry will be part of the customer portfolio.- As part of a Nordic Team, you can advise customers on selection of our products and provide technical support as required.
- Identify customers’ needs and strive for growth opportunities to increase BTC’s product portfolio into the market.
- You analyze market trends, including competitors, and optimize sales and market price levels in line with strategy.
- Manage cross-selling activities at own customers and support BTC as well as BASF colleagues in other business units.
- You coordinate and communicate internally with all stakeholders and especially the customer service platform and technical departments.
- Provide regular and transparent communication to the team.
Profile
- You have a chemical/technical education and a proven entrepreneurial spirit with several years of relevant B2B sales experience, preferably from an international player in the chemical industry.
- You have a healthy balance between technical and commercial topics, comfortable in deep technical dialogue as well as customer management and contract negotiations.
- You are self-motivated and customer focused with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- You are comfortable with IT tools such as Microsoft Office, MS Teams and experience with SalesForce is an asset.
- You speak and write Finnish and English fluently and have good knowledge of the Swedish language.
- You like to travel and visit customers. In this role, you will have regular travel primarily within the Nordic countries.
Location
- Works out of Finland, preferably situated in the Helsinki area. Or out of Sweden, preferably situated in the Stockholm area.
