Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in International Development, Disaster Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Proven experience (5 years) in humanitarian response, disaster risk reduction, or resilience-building programs.
- In-depth knowledge of international humanitarian standards, protocols, and best practices.
- Strong project management skills, including budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in complex and challenging environments is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for project management and reporting.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement strategies for enhancing community resilience to natural disasters, conflicts, and other crises.
- Lead and oversee humanitarian response programs, ensuring timely and effective interventions during emergencies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders to coordinate disaster preparedness and response efforts.
- Design and manage projects aimed at providing immediate relief and long-term recovery in crisis-affected areas.
- Conduct needs assessments and risk analyses to inform program planning and resource allocation.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with donor regulations.
- Supervise and support project teams, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality program implementation.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and impact, using data and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
